1. go bankrupt 破产、倒闭
bankrupt这个单词有破产、倒闭的意思，go bankcrupt是固定搭配。
If your liabilities exceed your assets, you may go bankrupt.
如果你的负债超过了你的资产，你就可能破产。
2. close down 停业、关闭

3. go to the wall 破产了
这个短语可不是字面的意思，意指走投无路，陷入绝境而破产，通常因缺少资金而导致。
If the company doesn't profit again this month，it will go to the wall sooner or later.

4. become impoverished 破产
变得贫穷了，另一层意思也即破产了。
